The Topic in Bradford opened in november 1956 and was the first Folk Club outside London. It is still the longest surviving club, but has moved venue on a number of occasions. Originally in an upstairs room at a chinese restaurant, it spent many years on Friday nights at the Star on Westgate. Currently at the Melborn on Whiteabbey TRoad on a Thursday evening.
