Thanks to the generosity of the folk world Mike was able to borrow a fiddle and a box and he and Taffy entertained us royally at the Word of Mouth Storytelling Club in Manchester the following night (1st Friday of the month at the Briton's Protection Pub - except January!). We had a fantastic evening of stories and song and a very tasty Wassail cup was passed round for all to enjoy.

We all, of course, appreciate that someone elses fiddle is just not the same as your own, but after the shock of losing the instruments and also the despoiling of Taffy's beautiful van, they both rose the occasion, as one would expect, and a great time was had by a packed room-full
