I see nothing at all wrong with a winter celebration or any expression of joyfulness at any time of year, for that matter. Clearly it matters to you what the reason for the celebration is; but try not to get in the way of other people's happiness while you ponder the meaning of it all. Remember, though, as you ponder, that you must include the possibility that while your point of view might not be incorrect; the views of others might also be correct.
