When my dad spent months working on Amchitka, in the Aleutian Islands, he also used his music (fiddle and banjo) to keep his sanity and that of those around him. Everybody loved to see Sparky come for a stint, as it meant plenty of music to break up the long works hours and monotony otherwise.
