As for snuggles, I think all make the decisions in that area. My two kitties -- littermates (sisters) -- grew up with me since they were 5 months old, and are very particular about their favorite ways to get snuggled... one jumps up on my desk and pets me on the face to let me know she wants a snuggle. The other will never come into my lap, but will raise a fuss unless there is a chair beside mine at the computer where she can curl up and sleep while I work...
