Okay, long-promised report:
The surgery went well. Angus was upset about going to a clinic on a WEEKEND (It obviously meant that he was going into kennel and I was going somewhere fun without him). It was a little more deeply entrenched than we thought by looking at the MRI, and we ended up having to take some of the bone out. No real worries, he never had any teeth on that side anyway, but his tongue lolls out worse without anything to hold it in!
For the moment we've started on some anti-biotics, just as a precaution, and we're waiting on results from the lab before we take any more action. He'll just hang out with me at work until we know differently.
He's definitely worn out from the whole thing, but managed to eat his food as well as slicking out BOTH the cat bowls when I wasn't looking......

Allison: Thanks for the vote of confidence, love to you (and Lord Byron too!)

Jay: Love and courage indeed, thank you.

Sissy and Jaeger: NEVER give up belly rubs! Dogs are subsidiary deities designed to catch the overflow of the world's worship! If Daddy forgets what he owes you, remind him with a Possum. (Just say it with roadkill)

Amos: Pup is hugged.

Kat: Thanks for the talk and the reminders to LAUGH! Gertrude's Revenge!

Micca, CP, Merlyn, Kilty, Somhairle, and Liusaidh: Thanks for healing thoughts. Loads of strawberry yogurt and bubblebaths to all of you too!

JeepMan: He is a good friend, and too close to human to not be crazy about. Thanks for the kind thoughts.

wdyat24: Best of luck to you and Maggie! Nothing like a lab to test your patience! (when Angus was Royal's age, he ate a book on dog training, but only the pages I'd read already....)

rangeroger: he's not having any fun with the golfball at the moment, it falls out of his mouth. "What the hell? I had it a minute ago..."

Sinsull: NONONONONO! Not ED!!!! Alice maybe, but I suppose if they are a matched set, I'll have to accept the pair..... (thank you)

jeffp and Mortee,: Thanks for the kind wishes.

Peter: I'm sure he'd appreciate you personality induced lethargy to the chemical one he's under now!

Genie and Grissy: Butterfly chasing and a summer of singing are certainly in the plans!

Sheila: If only you and Wayne were closer....I finally had to move the couch because "someone" found out that hurdling it was great fun (thanks Wayne...) *g*   Hope your head is feeling better!

MAG: Honorary Feline Status? It would explain why he went after the cat food!

Love and thanks to all,
~JE
