In Newfoundland, January 6 is "Old Christmas". They celebrate twelve days of Christmas, and that makes Jan. 6 the last day. I kind of like that custom because the usual practice is to put the tree and stuff up on Christmas Eve, and then take them down on January 6. None of this business of leaving the decorations up from Halloween until Valentine's Day.

And JtS tells me that people do a lot of visiting around with each other for the 12 days that they Celebrate Christmas. He says it's a very warm and homey way to do it.
