I grew up as a jazz player. I played sax in several jazz bands. I was trained in woodwinds and taught woodwinds for 25 years. Took up 5 string banjo, guitar, bass both stand up and electric, and mountain dulcimer. My wife, banjo-momma plays mountain dulcimer and flute. My favorite though is 5 string banjo. I have wanted to learn hammered dulcimer but haven't been able to afford one. Oh, by the way, am I just stupid or ill-informed, but what is a bodhran? Fred
