I have a Washburn Cumberland guitar and a Martin A model mandolin. The Washburn I bought the day my Guild was stolen out of a music store parking lot. The reason it was there was my own stupid fault. In the excitement of buying my first amp (stupid, stupid...)I left my dear old friend behind. Two hours later I went back after I discovered it wasn't in the car trunk, and of course, it was gone. I had a gig that night so I needed a guitar. I'm still trying to learn the mandolin. I sing mostly celtic songs and I especially love the ballads, the longer the better, although my age is making it difficult to get through them without blanking out on the words at times--at least that's what I blame it on.
