Thanks for your reply "the shambles". This is the first time I have done this, so hope you get the reply. Thanks for the URL I checked it out and will probably get the magazine. The Grove is a pub in Balham near Clapham South tube.They have a singers night every Friday and regular acts. I went to see Waterson Carthy there this Friday gone. After 2 pints of special I got up and sang which I find nerve wracking but a real buzz. I am told that I put off several members of the audience in the second half because I was singing along a bit too loudly with Waterson Carthy!! I think the Grove is very good. The people that run it are very friendly and helpful.I am going to my folk class again this week, but the reason I wanted to meet other musicians as well is because I think it is hard to join in sessions unless you know a lot of tunes and I only know about ten!! By the way, where are you living now?
