Brian -- it so happens that my good friend Chris Carney just released a very fine version of this song ("The Lovely Ohio" in his version) by his band
Dockside, on their new CD "Three Sheets to the Wind". (I'm planning to post a review.)

You can hear a bit of it by clicking here. It's a very nice album, featuring several of Chris Carney's wonderful original songs, such as "Grandfather's Song" and "The Fair That Summer".
