Nobody but nobody is as good at mixing and muddling metaphors as our Canadian PM, Jean Chretien. On a diplomatic visit to the White House a few years ago, he was asked by a journalist about the Quebec separatist issue and how he planned to deal with it in the near future.

His answer: "I am not about to open dat Pandora's Box of Worms at dis time."
