Speaking of Orygun, I have a Juneau friend who grew up in Oregon, as I did, - but she pronounces it 'Aura-gun'. She claims that's how Oregonians pronounce it. I haven't told her but my theory is that since her family moved from Minnesota when my friend was six years old, they never learned to pronounce it correctly and she got the pronunciation from them. (Isn't it funny how we all insist on this kind of thing!)
