I'll never forget the scenes in Cool Hand Luke where the inmate in the background strummed and sang "Just a Closer Walk With Thee." Then there was the one in "Sounder" where the black guy was walking along a dirt road with a crowd of friends after a softball game, banging on a big steel string and singing "Jesus, Won't You Come Back Heah?" which later became the background music for the tear jerking finale.
