Dave forgot to mention that he handed me his gingham handkerchief, perhaps recently stolen from his Labrador retriever's neck, to sop up the beer. At the end of the evening, he received the 'chief back from Fadac, wrapped in napkins. He probably went to sleep last night sucking the beer out of it.
