Thanks Lanfranc, I have been thinking for ages about starting
a thread on this, but I didn't have enough lines to be useful. My
Dad used to sing it long ago and it's one of those things that
come to mind now and again. What I do remember is "with a
telegram to say, there'd be no wedding today, for they'd found
him in the river with his toes turned up".
