Looking through that list of Taliesn I'd have thought that a lot of those would have Buddy Holly, and people who'd been influenced or encouraged into making music by Buddy Holly, as key parts of their story.

That would defnitely have gone for most if not all of the Engkish names in there, I feel, including the Beatles. Being influenced by something isn't the same as trying to sound the same.
