The Saxie Dowell song was undoubtedly based on "I Don't Want To Play In Your Yard," words by Philip Wingate and music by H. W. Petrie, composed in 1894, in Levy as pointed out by KatLaughing.

The chorus:

Sliding down our cellar door.
