I'm glad GUEST refreshed this...I'd forgotten this enjoyable discussion. Sharon, I would imagine it's entirely possible that you heard a tape of Joni doing the song on Gene Shay's show, as I think he used to have live guests. I know the version I heard was recorded on a 45, because I heard it on a jukebox, on Nassau St. in Princeton.
