"The Wild Goose" I enjoy most (indeed, the only one I know) was written by Wade Hemsworth of Morin Heights, Ontario. The best version was one I heard a while ago by Jon ? & Rika Rueebsaat---both are Mudcatters but I've not seen posts from them lately.
