well, for the first time in my life, I just shoveled a roof!..My back porch is 'too' flattish, so I took a square tipped spade and removed several hundred pounds..(maybe 1/4) will do more later...it allows the sun to hit the roof directly and provide run-off.(The gutter is pretty solid right now, but I was beginning get seepage thru the roof, making cracks in the plaster above the porch...
