Those private prisons are beginning to go out of business, but it isn't for lack of prisoners. It's because they do such a horrible job. Texas has figured out the solution to prison overcrowding--executions are such a regular thing here they barely even make the news any more (unless they slow down for some reason and go for a week or two without one).
