Good grief! S.S.Stewart banjos are now streaming out of the attics and closets and are being posted on e-Bay. There are now three Model 2's posted including the Acme Professional described above plus two Special Thoroughbreds. The most recent Special Thoroughbred is interesting to me as a likely example of a late 1890's Stewart sold through Sears & Roebuck; it's peghead is particularly ornate, with silver wire as well mother of pearl inlay; the next is a more modest array of diamond mother of pearl inlays.
