Cyprus is a lovely place, but stay away from the so-called "border" -- the split between Turkish and Cypriot control. Good advice any time because there are demonstrations and occassional violence. If the Mid-East goes up in flames, Cyprus is likely to escape much of it, but if there are problems it'll likely be there and not elsewhere.
