Thread Name: Toronto Music Scene (for Rick Fielding)

I saw Bill Monroe a thousand years ago, and little four year old Ricky Scaggs stood on an orange crate, and played (in turn)all the instruments....yes, including the bass. I thought "wow" it must be in the Southern air.

You must have a better memory than Ricky Skaggs. Ricky thinks he was six when he was called out of the audience in Lexington, Kentucky to play one song with Bill Monroe. By the way, that particular Monroe show happened in Lexington, Kentucky in 1960. It was a one shot deal and Ricky did not play with Monroe again until he was a teenager.

I didn't know that you were even going to bluegrass shows in Kentucky in 1960.
