I really like Maxima strings when I can afford them if they are available. They last longer and as I have truly atrocious right hand technique, it is good to have strings which are nearly unbreakable! I only really like the sound of very new Martins - I mean the first three days. They have an advantage for a busker though, because if you break them at the bridge, you can rewind them and use them again. They are cheap too...
