I always thought "shit-eating grin" referred to that look dogs get on their face after munching on catbox tootsie rolls. You know, they're gumming it 'cause it's kinda chewy like peanut butter and they grimace while doing so...talk about yer sick puppies! It reminds me of the technical term for a death-grin, what is it...rictus mortis?
