Well, I finally heard from Jan (bilgerat) who facilitates the Chantey Sing. He suggests that those locals who come are all very nice people, each one saying "Please excuse me!" before bursting into song. BG

Brett's got a bum knee from his California adventures, so we'll probably take the van over from Brooklyn and park it in the lot across from the Seamen's Church Institute. We'll nose around the Sea Port, drool over the ships, and show up at Radio Mexico for din-din around 6-6:30 pm.

Still no suggestions for Friday night, other than gathering at my niece's pub on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, the Last Exit, which now that it's "non-smoking" will probably be closing soon.

Looks like great weather for our trip south Thursday. I've got a new set of charts, and Brett's a master at navigating. I can hardly wait till we find ourselves rolling through them New Jersey salt marshes.
