I thought Jim Stafford did some very funny songs when I heard him on Smothers Brothers years ago. Very sharp and witty. Are any of the his words around? (Not in the DT) Don't know if he's doing any of the same stuff now (I see by my Google that he is entrenched in Branson, MO. That seems to spell a long slow decline, once you're parked there and all of middle America comes to your theater to hear your old classics. So maybe the songs I remember hearing ARE still in circulation. . .).

Tom Lehrer should enjoy a resurgence in popularity--many of his songs seem to fit with the times again.
