Subject: Lyr Add: CONNEMARA CRADLE SONG (Delia Murphy)
I Have this tune in my copy of FOLKSONGS & BALLADS popular in IRELAND Vol.I.... By John Loesberg and published by OSSIAN.
It has Three verses plus the chorus..Too late to TYpe it all..But if you want I'll do it tomorrow for you.
Susan.. OH what the heck...

Chorus:
Oh the wings of the wind, Oer the dark rolling deep
Angels are coming to watch oer thy sleep
Angels are coming to watch oer thee
so list' to the wind coming over the sea
Hear the wind Blow love, Hear the wind blow
Lean your head over and hear the wind blow

Oh the winds of the night, may your fury be crossed
May no one thats dear to our island be lost
Blow the wind lightly, calm be the foam
Shine the light brightly to guide them Home

The Currachs are sailing way out n the blue
Laden with Herrin of silvery hue
silver the herrin and silver the sea
And soon they'll be silver for Baby and me

The Currachs tomorrow will stand on the shore
and daddy goes sailin, a-sailin no more
The nets will be dryin, the nets will be blessed
And safe in my arms dear,Contented He'll rest...

I Hope that helps..now I can rest too..
Susan
