All of this reminds me of an Irish Proverb I found on the Web, some year or so back (which I saved in a .doc file, so I could find it again):

Is maith an scáthán súil charad.

(The eye of a friend is a good mirror.)


hmmm... Now, I'm tempted to write a song around that line, somehow...
