My son is in jail again. This time in Texas. He says he is facing five years for driving without a license. I don't believe him. He needs $3500 for a lawyer who will get him out-of-state parole. If I will let him rent a room from me, he can come to Maine and do landscaping, housecleaning, anything. Anything...in the past that included dealing drugs and giving the keys to my home to anyone owed him money. The phone rings. "This is a collect call from an inmate..."
