well i see no need to stop working muscians from selling thier tapes and cds. it's how a lot of muscians can afford to go. and i haven't gone since. i was there as a performer for seven yesrs i think. if i had my certificates of appreciation i'd send them back.

there was good music, although you have to put up with the middle calss sing along with mitch types like john bartlett who poped up here. vancouver is full of wannabe's like him, who have reinterpreted folk values as middle class values , usually with out any self awareness. but whattya gona do. i get paid to play still and still haven't had a real job in fifteen years so i ought not to complain too much. i'm just not into getting old
