Now the truth about my HIO...
I skulled the eight-iron. A line-drive that didn't get higher than 6 feet.I turned away in disgust, cursing the shot. My playing partners started shouting "It's going on the green!" I turned back in time to see it bounce in front of the green and roll into the cup.
But I prefer to tell people that I hit the perfect 8-iron, and that the ball landed 4 feet pat the pin and sucked back into the hole.
It doesn't matter what the shot looked like - it still says 1 on the scorecard!
