I have just taken the money and run. I'm in the Uk and by going early with a pension enhancement I don't take an actuarial reduction. In other words by leaving work now my pension is 27% larger than it would have been in 5 years time (when I intended to go if I possibly could).
Be warned the days are much shorter than they were when I was working. I just can't fit everything in. I'll never know how I fitted work in round my social life!! :-))
Go for it. Retire. You can always get another job for a while if finances get tight.
