I haven't been in Dublin for over ten years. Is O'Doneghue's on Merion Row no longer in business? When I lived there, that was the center of Irish traditional music in Dublin. The sessions there were frequented by all the finest players in Ireland. Luke Kelley was a regular as were Tommy Peoples, the Furies, Paddy Keenan and the Pavies, bands like Napper Tandy and the Dubliners and an occasional immigrant like myself. There were sessions every evening in the front and back rooms and on Sunday there was a magnificent gathering in the front room that was like an all-star jam.
