Gypsies are a powerful romantic symbol in western civilization, and thus have made a great contribution for which we can all be grateful.

I met one woman who certainly fit my expectations of a gypsy girl. She also had a boyfriend who fit my expectations of an outlaw biker. I admired her discreetly from a distance.

It wouldn't have worked anyway. She smokes like a chimney, and could chew me up and spit me out and barely even notice, I suspect. Good thing that boyfriend was around to keep me sensible. :-)
