A propos of what Frank said there, "money" isn't actually neutral in all settings. When buying and selling becomes central in an area of life where it hasn't been central, that changes things.

That isn't to actively disagre with Frank. I think talking about the music indiustry in terms of good and evil is a mistake. Buying and selling has always been part of the process by which music has been passsed around.

However it has just been part, and in general a peripheral part at that. When it becomes central, and dominates everything, the change that is introduced is pretty signifucant, and I would say harmful.

As with other aspects of human society, such as sport, or sex, or human relationships.
