I used to drink a lot, constantly when I was 18 to about 15. I honestly think if I had a different genetic make-up I would have been seriously addicted. Instead, I just got bored with it. This was luck rather than self-control - it's not hard to stop drinking when you don't get much out of it in the first place.

I rarely have a glass of anything at home - alcohol makes me sleepy. I'll have a couple when I'm at a pub or a party. It's the social climate more than anything, as it was back in my youth when I drank gallons.
