Thread Name: When the Sober start Drinking!
Subject: RE: When the Sober start Drinking!
I guess I feel drinking is all a state of mind. Mainly alone I never drink, as I find plenty of other things to relax me after work which don't seem to leave me hung over in the morning (as I get older, it seems I have less ability to enjoy a few drinks in the evening and wake up feeling fine)

When I was in Ireland a few years ago, I barely drank as I was w/ my parents who generally don't as well, but in Mexico last winter drank pretty much all day every day (never to the point of stupidity though, thank God. The town I wa in had a jail cell for the tourist and local drunks, open on three sides on the main road so everyone could stare at them! Talk about social embarisment)

As well, when w/ certian friends I drink more than w/ other friends.

I believe drinkable alcohol (especially beer) is one of the great achievements of humankind (just to note for any who think libations are only for men, throughout most of history, women were the great home brewmasters), but, like everything in life, should be enjoy and appreciated, not abused. (Roger in Baltimore , I usede to make a living working w/ individuals with addictions. Made it kind of hard going out at night for a few cold ones after seeing some of the true hard luck cases)

Be well,
