An Open Letter -- well, note, to Kim:

Technological stuff isn't hard. There's nearly no math at all involved now, unless you REALLY want to get involved (or are forced to) and feel a compulsion to translate decimal to binary or octel or hexadecimal, and Kim, they have wonderful treatment programs for those people nowadays. Of course, the electroconvulsive therapy DOES leave gaps in their...whatchamacallit...you know...their...ah, shoot.

And remember that Enlish majors can do anything: flip burgers, make french fries, dig sewer lines, anything.

I was 55 when I wrote my first web page. I was 45 when I learned to fool around in the AIX and Solaris flavors of Unix.

Come on, Kim. It's not a problem or anything to be afraid of. Join us. Don't be afraid.
