I was perusing the German TV last night and got locked into a romantic comedy ("Tigermaennchen sucht Tigerweibchen" [ARD 2001]) but wasn't hooked until the familiar strains of "Somewhere along the Road" came spilling out as a very subtle (maybe lost to the German audience) subtext message (the song was played a couple of times throughout the movie). Not sure if it was Maddy Prior's voice on this version but it sure made my day hearing folk on Das Erste Fernsehen!

Any German Catters know if this song is well known to Germans?
