Thread Name: Lyr Req: Breakfast in My Bed on Sunday...(Lauder)
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Sir harry Lauder - Breakfast in your bed
Thanks to cetmst for posting the lyrics. Two minor corrections:

The line "I take things very easy but I canna take a leave". On the recordings that I have heard, I *believe* that what he is saying is "...what I canna take, I leave." The pronoun "I", especially the second one, is pronounced more like "ah" than a long "I".

And in the spoken section, in the line "and you can hear the ham and eggs sizzlin' in the pan". I *believe* that he says "...the ham and eggs skirlin' in the pan" (as in "the skirlin' o' the pipes".)

I know that Sir Harry made more than one recording of this song, so both versions may be right.
