Thread Name: Warwick Festival
Subject: RE: Warwick Festival
Only just surfacing now - too knackered yesterday, kept falling asleep. And of course, the post-festival blues have hit...It was my first Warwick, and if I make it through another year it surely won't be my last.

Thanks for the kind words Snuffy and Linda (and I'm proud that YOU were proud of me). It was indeed special seeing another "child" married off as it were. And I loved the singing at the Arts Theatre. But I am most proud of my stamina on Saturday night - I sloped off around 4:30am; and I led a shanty for the first time in my life (I still haven't dared tell Johnny Collins in case he laughs...).

High points in the concerts for me were June Tabor (first time I saw her live, every bit as good as on her CDs, face still of an angel, intensity in delivery, just wanted to kiss her arthritic hands better...) and discovering Anthony John Clarke (excellent delivery, lovely songs, LOADS of heart; why, he could have been Greek). Also, the Pack - who made me feel simply jealous and wanting to shed 30 years (VERY WELL DONE SAM!).

High point of the singing: Linda and Hazel's harmonies. And being allowed to join in a little on Saturday night.

Disappointment: I STILL haven't had a chance to merge voices with Noreen...

It was grand. But it's over...And I wanna go back (*sob*)
