I cleaned up the transcription of the Seekers song Masato linked to.

SPARROW SONG
(Bruce Woodley)

Fly little sparrow
High above the clouds
Looking for a place to
Lay your weary body down

Fly little sparrow
Northward to the sun
Wonder if you'll ever
Find yourself a home

Tell me little sparrow
Tell me what do you see
I see a concrete canyon
Without a single tree
And it goes winding on forever
Where once broad rivers ran
Oh I hope that I can find
One truly happy land

Fly little sparrow
High above the clouds
Looking for a place to
Lay your weary body down

I seek a land of far horizons
A gentle wind and summer rain
Where the children are not hungry
And they put an end to pain
And I will sing a song of freedom
In the arms of the golden tree
Is there such a place on Earth
For a tiny bird like me

Fly little sparrow
High above the clouds
Looking for a place to
Lay your weary body down

Yes and fly on little sparrow
Northward to the sun
Wonder if you'll ever
Find yourself a home

I thought I had all the original Seekers recordings, but I can't find this one on them. Maybe it's a newer song - it's on a 1991 CD called The Best of the Seekers Today, recorded by Julie Anthony with original Seekers members Bruce Woodley, Athol Guy, and Keith Potger. When I realized the CD didn't have my heartthrob Judith Durham, I listened to it only once. Now that I have the earlier Seekers albums and can listen to Judith whenever I want, I can listen to this one without disappointment, and I have to say it sounds pretty good.
