Like alanabit I'll pretty well go and see anybody if it looks, on the face of it, interesting and, also, I'll listen to more or less any style of music. I actively look for live music and also go on recommendations. I've heard and met some stunning musicians in all genres over 40 years and have seldom been disappointed. Most of the rare disappointments have tended to be with "name" acts funnily enough. Extensive gig-going and CD-buying (as well as playing!) probably accounts for my current state of relative impecunity!
