To go back up this thread a bit...... The "Here's to Cheshire, Here's to Cheese" verses were written, as far as I am aware, by Leslie Haworth, a Cheshire strawberry farmer who was a stalwart of the early Spinner's folk club at Sampson & Barlow's Grill in Liverpool in the early sixties.
