Subject: Another possible Mudcat book... From: Freddie Fox Date: 07 Nov 99 - 06:27 PM Well, we've had banjo jokes, drummer jokes, out of the mouths etc., gloating/moaning about kids, ludricous [how do you spell it - it doesn't look right!!] sights; why don't we publish a book of jokes and silly stories?? They sell like mad; a few key personal with dtp facilities around the world could handle the distribution, and ... more funds for the forum. What do you lot think? Give me the go-ahead and I'll start compiling right way. |
Subject: RE: Another possible Mudcat book... From: katlaughing Date: 07 Nov 99 - 06:30 PM Nice idea, Freddie, but I know, I for one, posted jokes I got from other sites, way back when we had one on bagpipes, I think. So...we'd have to check the source of whatever people posted, first, to make sure of the copyright issue. |
Subject: RE: Another possible Mudcat book... From: Freddie Fox Date: 07 Nov 99 - 06:33 PM Blimey, that was quick, Kat. Take your point... but how do you check for copyright on jokes, when they seem to got the round so quickly? |
Subject: RE: Another possible Mudcat book... From: katlaughing Date: 07 Nov 99 - 06:36 PM Well, just call me katty-on-the-spot!**BG** Dunno, Freddie, but I'll bet somebody will tell us. |
Subject: RE: Another possible Mudcat book... From: Freddie Fox Date: 07 Nov 99 - 06:41 PM Hey, this is fun! I didn't realise how easy it was to have an actual conversation with people on this thing if you happen to be logged on at the same time. Oops - threadcreep strikes... by the way, the collective nouns would be another good one to go in. |
