Folk in Hull is an organisation in Hull run by musicians which aims to keep music live, abundant, varied and inspiring in the city. We run nights at local venues which celebrate the sounds of our city and also invite musicians from around the world to come and play here. We are working hard to establish regular events that offer audiences great music to experience and also offer bands a platform to perform their music.
This is an edited PermaThread® for folk events in Hull, intended to provide performance schedules and other information about events in the area. This thread will be edited by Folk in Hull and Joe Offer. Feel free to post to this thread, but remember that all messages posted here are subject to editing or deletion.

Shiznitz will be playing at The Polar Bear pub, Spring Bank, Hull, this Saturday (16th June). Gig starts at 9pm, and entry is free!

Although they haven't played at any of Folk in Hull's many splendiferous promotions, this band are clearly the best new folk to come out of Hull since the Watersons!
"27th best band in Hull" says TenFootCity magazine.

This is a chance to see them for FREE before they are too famous to play for the likes of Hull folk again (tickets may cost as much as £3.50 in the future). Bring a Trident!

Have a listen to some of our music here !

x
