I've been using the Fishman Blender for years with great results. Of course, sound quality depends largely on your pickup system.

I love my Seymour Duncan SA-2 Perfect Timbre soundboard pickup which comes with it's own inboard (mounted to neck block) preamp. Not the loudest but to me a more natural sound than any sound support system I've heard save a decent mic.vl

The Passac pre-amps are great for Fishman-type piezo and crystal pickups. They add harmonic content that is missing. They call it "the sound of the soundhole". Juice Goose Company offered these a couple of years ago. Maybe not now. Quite a few are available "new in the box" from sellers who never bothered to figure out what they were. There is a belt-clip version and a rackmount (includes Aphex Aural Harmonic Exciter).

My latest pickup is a L.R.Baggs LB6, used with a ART Tube MP,the guitar is Martin D35.I think it sounds great !??

I'm with Murray, and don't forget to use a Highander pickup. Best sound you'll ever get.

Mind you, when you talk electro-acoustic, the Takamine DSP beats just about everything (as long as you don't mind the iffy acoustic sound...).

And never, ever buy one of those LR Baggs IBeam things. I had one fitted to my SGC 000, played it once plugged in on-stage, and got straight on the phone to Highlander.

Takimine. It's the best. I couldn't imagine playing anything else if usability and sound and generally rugged dependablility is and issue.

But I have my integrity to think about, and that's why I play a Larrivee with an emg stuck into the saddle. Sounds kind of shitty but at least it's not a Japanezze factory multinational built instrument. It's loud and doesn't feed back.

My wife plays a tak on stage. She likes it cause it's small, light and 'black' so it goes with whatever she is wearing. It always sounds great, no matter where you set the sliders and it has never given us any trouble. But I think the more 'muted' less 'clear and briliant' sound of my Larevee with the emgs in it has a more 'folky' sound.
